I am humbled by the strong support I received from Southampton Village voters in last week’s election. I would like to sincerely thank all of those who voted for me to rejoin the board after 21 years.
As was discussed during the campaign, there is a lot of work to be done to improve the village we all care deeply about. I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and serving all the residents of the village.
As I stated in my letter to the editor last week, I reaffirm my pledge to work hard to take on all the issues confronting the village while working to unite the community at the same time. Toward that end, I am asking all residents, whether you voted for me or not, to help strengthen the cohesiveness and congeniality of the community.
I think we all can agree that Southampton Village will be a better place for it.
William (Bill) Manger Jr.
