The Suffolk Theater in Riverhead is getting into the Halloween spirit early this year, hosting Broadway Fright Night on Friday, October 7, at 8 p.m.

The all-ages event comes from New York casting director and producer Stephen DeAngelis, who returns this year with five of Broadway’s leading vocalists who will pay homage to Broadway and Off-Broadway’s most original and terrifying characters from musicals with supernatural, horror and science fiction themes. Musical selections will be from shows including “Wicked,” Jekyll & Hyde,” “Little Shop of Horrors,” “Sweeney Todd,” “Into the Woods,” “The Adams Family,” “Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark,” “Bat Out Of Hell,” and “The Phantom of the Opera,” which it was just announced would be leaving Broadway after 35 years, making it the longest running production in Broadway history.

The concert will include backstage, behind-the-scenes anecdotes from these performers’ time in leading roles on the Great White Way as well as a Broadway Halloween costume contest with audience members encouraged to dress as their favorite characters.

Scheduled performers include Jackie Burns, the longest running Elphaba in “Wicked;” Richard Todd Adams, who has performed at The Phantom in “The Phantom of the Opera;” Sara Jean Ford, who has played Christine Daae in “Phantom;” Justin Sargent, who was Spider-Man/Peter Parker in “Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark;” and Alicia Irving, an actor with numerous roles in productions like “Les Miserables” and “Side Show.”
