No Moral Equivalency

Thin-skinned far-left millennials hide behind their woke Twitter handles and yell for the cancellation or firing of a teacher, a police officer or a celebrity. When did we lose our sense of forgiveness or get so comfortable with ruining people’s lives?

This pathetic behavior is nothing short of a dumpster fire. We need to call it out until it goes away.

However, the majority of the Republican Party peddles dishonest claims about election integrity, lies to its constituents, and pursues power at the expense of upending trust in all governmental institutions.

How can the insurrectionist party also be the party of law and order? How can Republicans who vote against legislation like the infrastructure bill then go champion its benefits locally to rally voters? Why don’t both Republican politicians and party-affiliated voters hold their leaders accountable and demand them to be better or get out? This is a political nuclear bomb.

Can we all agree that nuclear bombs are worse than dumpster fires?

At the end of the day, I want my daughter to have control over her own body, to use the New York City subway without fear of attack, sensible gun laws, to invest in struggling neighborhoods, for us to be better to our educators, be good to the environment, enable health care as a basic human right, and get the border under control.

I can’t have it all.

There can be no other vote but for Bridget Fleming, Kathy Hochul, Skyler Johnson and anyone else with a (D) next to their name on the ballot.
