Against all odds, and without even a license plate number available, Southampton Town Police have accomplished superlative detective work, identifying a suspect in the hit-and-run that happened to me on October 25. It seemed impossible.
Hats off to them, Officer Eric Girardin, and our own excellent chief, A.J. McGuire, and the Sag Harbor Village Police Department, who initiated the investigation. We are deeply grateful to them for their persistence, resourcefulness, and creativity.
