Michael Stahl Kirkpatrick of Shirley, NY passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 3, 2022 after long illnesses at the age of 85, leaving behind his beloved wife of 46 years, Victoria “Vicki” Dunwell Kirkpatrick.

Mike has rejoined his parents, Fayette and Willis (Kirk) Kirkpatrick, his dear daughter Jean Marie Billig, and his Chihuahua, his constant companion and service dog Curry who died weeks after him, in the afterlife. He also leaves behind his daughter Karen Anliker of Phoenix AZ, sons-in-law Jeff Billig of Windham, ME, Mark Anliker, and grandsons Max Billig and Logan Anliker.

Mike grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area in CA and served in the US Navy. Prior to entering the business world, he spent time playing baseball for the Navy team in Japan and professionally for the Cardinals organization in the US. He later excelled in tennis, for which he received recognition from the President of the United States. Mike was successful in the areas of printing and corporate photography, and later proved himself to be a talented and thoughtful writer as well. A devoted athlete and opinionated sports fan to the end, he loved his 49ers and SF Giants as well as the Celtics and Red Sox.

Throughout his life, Mike was committed to his community and to helping people who wanted to better their lives.

Mike has requested donations to The Southampton Animal Shelter Foundation, Hampton Bays, NY or The Guide Dog Foundation.
