Choral Society Announces Auditions

The Choral Society of the Hamptons will hold auditions for all singing parts in late September and early October for singers interested in joining the group prior to the Choral Society’s upcoming concert on Sunday, December 3. The Choral Society primarily rehearses at the Bridgehampton Presbyterian Church, and the December concert will be performed there as well.

The winter concert, “A Christmas Garland: Bach, Rutter, & Saylor,” will be directed by the Walter Klauss and will feature J.S. Bach’s “Christmas Oratorio,” as well as works by John Rutter and Bruce Saylor. The concert will feature the South Fork Chamber Orchestra and professional soloists.

Prospective singers are invited to be guests at the first rehearsal on September 18 and audition prior to the second or third rehearsals on September 25 and October 2. Ability to read music is helpful, but not always essential.
