A newly built traditional-style home that is one of eight new homes by architectural designer and developer Terrence McKeen at the end of a cul-de-sac off Montauk Highway in Amagansett has sold for $6.9 million.

On a 0.83-acre lot at 39 Handy Lane, the residence with 11-foot ceilings and 6-inch white oak floors has eight bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and two half-baths, including the half-bath in the pool house. It is the largest lot and largest home in the development with 7,081 square feet of living space inclusive of the 2,130-square-foot finished lower level.

The main house offers a great room with a fireplace and a wall of glass doors to the backyard, an eat-in chef’s kitchen with custom cabinetry, Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances including an eight-burner gas range, double wall ovens, a wine refrigerator and two dishwashers, a formal dining room and first- and second-floor laundry.

Inside the lower level find a sauna, a recreation space with a wet bar, and a walk-out egress.

The 200-square-foot pool house with an indoor/outdoor bar, a sink, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and an outdoor shower complements a gunite pool and spa.

Romaine Gordon of Saunders & Associates had the listing.

“This is a stunning south-of-the-highway home in Amagansett just under a mile to the ocean beaches and the village,” Gordon said. “We had a deal on this property pretty much before we broke ground to pour the foundation.”

The deal closed on May 22, according to Suffolk Vision Inc., which identifies the buyer as Maddieblue LLC.
