Montauk Inlet Dredging Tailored, Meaning Less New Beach for Soundview

The Army Corps of Engineers is redesigning its plans for dredging Montauk Inlet and says that it will only be able to rebuild about 1,200 feet of beach west of the inlet with the sand taken out of the inlet, rather than more than 3,000 feet it had hoped.
