East Hampton School District officials are asking residents to support an $82,885,992 budget for the 2024-25 school year. The spending plan — a 4.81 percent, or $3,806,675, increase from the current school year’s budget — would pierce the state’s cap on property tax increases for the first time in 10 years. It comes with an anticipated $62,346,474 levy that is $4,995,272 more than that from the current year. Springs School officials are putting forth a $37,814,314 budget to voters next week that would pierce the state cap on tax levy increases. The spending plan for the 2024-25 school year is 6.8 percent, or $2,408,181, more than the current year’s and comes with an anticipated levy of $33,900,488.
