The 22nd annual Box Art Auction benefiting East End Hospice will take place on Saturday, August 26, from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Saint Luke’s Hoie Hall in East Hampton.

The event will feature memorable art boxes created by some of the finest artists on the East End. These boxes will be auctioned off in a silent auction on August 26, starting at 4:30 p.m., followed by a live auction led by auctioneer Lucas Hunt beginning at 6 p.m. In addition, the Annual Spirit of Community Award will be presented to Kathleen King, an East End tradition as founder of Tate’s Bake Shop.

Some of the returning and new participating artists include Marilyn Church, Leif Hope, Carol Hunt, James Kennedy, Dennis Leri, Christa Maiwald, Fulvio Massi, Gabriele Raacke, Dan Rizzie, Randall Rosenthal, Hans van de Bovenkamp, Dan Welden and Frank Wimberley.

The boxes will then be on preview at Hoie Hall on Wednesday, August 23, and Thursday, August 24, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a “Meet the Artist” preview reception at Hoie Hall open to the public on August 23, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Admission to the Box Art Auction on August 26 is $100 and includes wine and hors d’oeuvres. St. Luke’s Hoie Hall is located at 18 James Lane, East Hampton.
