The Hampton Synagogue’s 30th annual Thanksgiving Weekend Cantorial Concert will take place Saturday, November 29, at 8 p.m.

The synagogue’s world-renowned cantor, Netanel Hershtik, will host the concert, which will feature two rising stars of the cantorial world, Nissim Saal and Chaim Stern. They will be accompanied by the Hampton Synagogue Choir, Maestro Izchak Haimov, conductor, and Raymond Goldstein, musical director of the Jerusalem Great Synagogue, on piano. The concert is an international gathering of emerging talent in Jewish liturgical music.

Nissim Saal serves as chief cantor of the Yeshurun Central Synagogue in Jerusalem. A world-renowned cantor, he is celebrated for his exceptional voice, wide vocal range and remarkable control. His musical journey began at a young age, inspired by the legendary Yossele Rosenblatt and other great cantors of the past. His repertoire includes a diverse range of styles, including chassidic, opera and classical music, and his versatility has captivated audiences worldwide.

Chaim Stern was born into a renowned cantorial family in Jerusalem with a long-standing tradition in the art form. He was recently named chief cantor of Toronto’s Beth Tzedec Congregation. Previously, he served as chief cantor of the Great Synagogue in Munich. He regularly performs in concerts around the world.

The concert will take place in the Berman Sanctuary of the Hampton Synagogue, 154 Sunset Avenue, Westhampton Beach. Admission is free. A dessert reception will follow. To reserve for the reception, email reception@thehamptonsynagogue.org or call 631-288-0534 ext. 210.
