Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a real taste of Ireland. The Sag Harbor Cinema Green Room bar is holding a Best Irish Stew Contest on Friday, March 17. The public is invited to join in on the voting as local restaurants and caterers compete for the title of “Best Irish Stew in the Hamptons” with judging at 7 p.m. Join Bar Manager (and authentic Irish bartender) Deborah Matthews Lee for Jameson and Guinness drink specials and a real taste of Irish spirit. Some of the local establishments that have joined in the contest include Peter Ambrose Catering, Sen Restaurant, K Pasa, Sag Pizza and Kidd Squid Brewing Company.

Tickets for the Best Irish Stew Contest are $10 for Sag Harbor Cinema members ($15 for nonmembers). Admission gets participants a special mug and a taste of all the stews entered in the contest. The Green Room bar opens at 5 p.m. and is open until midnight on Fridays. For ticket information, call the cinema at 631-725-0010. Sag Harbor Cinema is at 90 Main Street in Sag Harbor.
