On Friday, June 25, The Church opens “Road Rage,” with a reception from 4 to 7 p.m.
The new exhibition features the piñata-inspired art of Justin Favela. An artist known for honoring his Mexican/Guatemalan heritage, he has made one of his lowrider sculptures for the show.
“Anyone who has been in a car, wanted a car, hated a car or lives for cars is going to be blown away by the wealth of work in this show,” said artist Eric Fischl, a founder of The Church.
“Road Rage” remains on view through September 20. Hours are Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from noon to 5 p.m., Friday, from noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Church is at 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor. Visit sagharborchurch.org for details.
