The Suffolk presents “Bad Animals: The Heart Tribute” on Saturday, November 9, at 8 p.m. When Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Ann Wilson herself told Bad Animals’ lead vocalist Daena D., “Have fun with it,” she took it to heart. Long Island’s own Daena D. delivers a stunningly accurate recreation of Wilson’s soaring signature vocals while Gina D. successfully captures the charismatic guitar and trademark vocals of Wilson. Some of Daena’s past projects include recording with Geoff Tate of Queensryche and with an all-girl metal band Thunderbox. Gina has worked with talented artists such as Debbie Gibson, Dan Spitz of Anthrax and Don Chaffin of V.O.X.

Backing Daena and Gina is an equally incredible band featuring: Tom Cavanagh (lead guitar and vocals — best known for his playing and writing for artists and bands such as Lita Ford, Jerry Jemott, Pop Smart Overdrive, Bent Pussycat, The Backseat Devils, and Almost Queen); Chris Parrett (bass and vocals); John LaSpina (drums — he has shared the stage with artists such as Jeff Scott Soto, Dennis De Young, Rick Springfield and Brett Michaels and has made various TV appearances including Fuse TV and The Today Show); and Kevin Thomas (guitar, keys, and vocals).

Tickets are $39 to $49 at the suffolk.org. The Suffolk is at 118 East Main Street in Riverhead.
