The Hampton Ballet Theatre School will present its 16th annual production of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” with performances Friday, December 12, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, December 13, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, December 14, at noon and 5 p.m. at Guild Hall.
The ballet is choreographed by HBTS director Sara Jo Strickland. The production features hand-sewn costumes by Yuka Silvera, Strickland and Kate McManus, with lighting design by Sebastian Paczynski. HBTS Pro Students Major Bovio, Leila Genender, Summer Lillie, Olivia Quinn, Shoshana Sobey, Catherine Porter, Lauren Rosario, Twyla Tracy and Talula Tracy will perform featured roles.
Guest artists include Jacob Taylor as the Dew Drop Prince and Harlequin; Malik Berry as the Snow King and Marzipan; James Stevko as the Cavalier; and Nick Peregrino as the Arabian Prince and Marzipan.
Hampton Ballet Theatre School’s “Nutcracker” invites audiences into a world of angels, snowflakes and dancing flowers as Clara saves the Nutcracker Prince from the Mouse King and journeys to the Land of Sweets. The annual production has become a cherished East End holiday tradition.
Advance tickets range from $40 to $55, while day-of-performance tickets range from $45 to $60. Premium and orchestra seating is available at separate rates for adults and children under 12.
