“Broken Arrow,” an exhibition of paintings by Erika Ranee and Melinda Hackett, goes on view at Keyes Gallery in Sag Harbor this week, and opens with a reception on Saturday, August 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. The show runs through September 6.

Erika Ranee received her MFA in painting from the University of California, Berkeley. She is a recipient of a New York Foundation for the Arts Fellowship in Painting and has attended the Artist in the Marketplace seminar program at the Bronx Museum, as well as the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Her work has been exhibited widely in New York and throughout the world. In early 2018 her work was featured in a group exhibition at the Southampton Arts Center. Her work has been mentioned in several publications including The New York Times, San Francisco Chronicle and Artforum. She lives and works in New York.

Melinda Hackett was born in New York City. She graduated from Hobart William Smith College and got her MFA at Parsons-New School. She has exhibited widely in New York, on the West Coast and on the East End, including in Southampton at 4 North Main Gallery, Mark Humphrey Gallery, Peter Marcelle Gallery, and Jeff Lincoln Art and Design and in Sag Harbor at Estia Gallery. She has also shown at Guild Hall and with Folioeast in East Hampton, and her work is in the permanent collection at The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill.
