On Tuesdays throughout the summer, the Southampton Jewish Film Festival has been presenting Jewish-themed films at the Southampton Arts Center (SAC).

The festival will conclude on August 20 with “Monsieur Mayonnaise.” The 2016 French film, directed by Trevor Graham, follows Australian artist and filmmaker Philippe Mora as he investigates his father’s role in the French Résistance in World War II and his mother’s escape en route to Auschwitz. He then embarks on a journey to create a comic book about his parents’ trials. “Monsieur Mayonnaise” is an artist’s epic adventure into his family’s secret past. Mr. Mora, a Hollywood cult-horror movie director and pop artist, adopts a film noir persona to tell his family’s story. He also packs his paints and easel, as he embarks on a journey to illustrate the story of his parents, their survival and the Holocaust. From Los Angeles to Berlin, Paris to Melbourne, “Monsieur Mayonnaise” is a richly layered, road movie starring artists, real life heroes, Nazi villains … and baguettes with lashings of tasty French mayonnaise.

The movie begins at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $15 at brownpapertickets.com and at the door of Southampton Arts Center, 25 Jobs Lane, Southampton Village. For more information, visit southamptonjewishfilmfestival.com.
