Singing in Spanish, Portuguese and English, Yvette Malavet-Blum will perform “Latinas!” a lively concert of Spanish, Latin American and South American classical and popular songs at the Montauk Library on Wednesday, July 24, at 7 p.m.
Ms. Malavet-Blum’s concert features the repertoire of celebrated singers such as La Lupe who is of Cuban descent, Rosa Paso who sings Brazilian samba songs, Teresa Berganza, a classical Spanish repertoire, and hit songs by American singers of Mexican heritage such as Vikki Carr and Linda Ronstadt. She will be accompanied on piano and guitar by Robert Boutcher with whom she has collaborated for the 12 years.
