Amagansett Free Library’s Art/History/Amagansett series continues its Saturday Conversations and Sunday Seminars with programs on Thomas and Mary Nimmo Moran and public relations and social media.
East Hampton Historical Society and Thomas Moran Trust director Richard Barons, curator Janet Goleas, and Metropolitan Museum of Art art historian Shannon Vittoria will present “Exploring Creative Minds: Thomas Moran & Mary Nimmo Moran” on Saturday, September 24, at 6 p.m. Ms. Vittoria is an authority on Ms. Moran, who was Mr. Moran’s student before she became the Hudson River School artist’s wife.
Then on Sunday, September 25, at 6 p.m., the seminar “Public Relations or The Fine Art of Standing Out” will advise creative people on how they can get better exposure in the press and using social media. Ann Lombardo, a cultural public relations expert, will offer tips in conversation with Hamptons Art Hub publisher Pat Rogers.
