An Evening of ‘Sexy Songs and Lovely Laments’

What do sexy songs and lovely laments have in common? Judy Carmichael.

The Grammy-nominated pianist, vocalist and songwriter will perform originals from her latest CD, “Can You Love Once More?” and standards by Gershwin, Cole Porter, Fats Waller and Peggy Lee on Saturday, October 14, at 8 p.m. at Bay Street Theater, located at 1 Bay Street in Sag Harbor.

“I plan on complete joy in this evening. I think we are in such a time when there seems to be so little joy that I plan on an evening of joy, and that’s what I want to bring,” she said. “I want everybody to feel, when they walk out of that theater, to be joyful.”
