Guild Hall is bringing David Sedaris back to its stage after his last appearance in 2019. Sedaris will perform at Guild Hall on Saturday, October 5, at 7 p.m.

With sardonic wit and incisive social critiques, David Sedaris is considered one of America’s preeminent humorists. He is the master of satire and one of today’s most observant writers addressing the human condition. The author of the bestselling books “Calypso,” “Naked,” “Me Talk Pretty One Day,” “Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Demin,” and regular National Public Radio contributor, will be live on stage, following the release of his newest book, “Happy Go Lucky.” Attendees will experience a unique opportunity to see the best-selling humorist in an intimate setting.

He and his sister, Amy Sedaris, have collaborated under the name “The Talent Family” and have written half-a-dozen plays which have been produced at La Mama, Lincoln Center, and The Drama Department in New York City. David Sedaris’s original radio pieces can often be heard on the public radio show “This American Life.” Sedaris has been nominated for three Grammy Awards for Best Spoken Word and Best Comedy Album.

The evening will also include a selection of all-new readings and recollections, as well as a Q&A and book signing. Several of his most popular books will be available for purchase after the program.

Tickets are $100 to $150 ($90 to $135 for Guild Hall members). For more details, and to purchase tickets, visit guildhall.org. Guild Hall is at 158 Main Street in East Hampton.
