Over the weekend of January 21 and 22, the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) Arts Academy debuted the Cole Porter musical “Anything Goes” to rave reviews.
Under the direction of Kristen Poulakis and assistant director Justin Harris, the Teen Theatre Troupe dazzled audiences with three performances of the classic shipboard romp made famous on Broadway starring Sutton Foster. The madcap antics of Billy Crocker, Hope Harcourt, Moonface Martin, and more, were given the WHBPAC Arts Academy star treatment with assistance from teaching artist Anita Boyer and music director Meaghan Padilla.
“The Teen Theatre Troupe has an outstanding track record of offering only the best in Arts Education,” said Poulakis. “These students work so hard and deliver an authentic, Broadway-style experience.”
The Arts Academy will debut “High School Musical 2” on the weekend of February 4 through 6.
“As the leader in arts education on the East End our students cultivate empathy, emotion, confidence, and creative expression for all,” added WHBPAC Executive Director Julienne Penza-Boone.
Tickets for the upcoming show are available at whbpac.org or 631-288-1500. Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center is at 76 Main Street, Westhampton Beach.
