Romany Kramoris Gallery will present a group exhibition featuring the works of Casey Chalem Anderson, Thomas Condon, Quincy Egginton, Katherine Milliken and Gayle Tudisco from August 14 through September 4. A reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, August 16, from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Casey Chalem Anderson, a Greenwich Village native who splits her time between Sag Harbor and New York City, creates oil paintings inspired by the Hamptons landscape and natural forms. Her work captures the shifting color, light and mood of the ocean, where she feels most grounded. Her paintings evoke tranquility and emotional energy through vibrant color.
Thomas Condon is a regular exhibitor at Romany Kramoris Gallery. Known for his lush landscapes and floral compositions, Condon draws inspiration from his time in the Hamptons, New York City and Florida. A New England native, he also paints stark, architectural scenes that echo the quiet solitude of Edward Hopper’s work.
Quincy Egginton is an artist, educator and master printer whose lifelong connection to the beach informs her drawings, paintings and prints. A graduate of Syracuse University and Columbia University, she has taught students of all ages and helped develop a BFA program in graphic design at Mercy College. She lives full time in Wainscott with her husband, Hersey.
Katherine Milliken is a local artist and educator who focuses on nature-based subjects drawn from her outdoor experiences including walking, gardening and horseback riding. Her watercolors and oil paintings have been exhibited at local institutions including Guild Hall, the Southampton Cultural Center, and the Romany Kramoris Gallery.
Gayle Tudisco is a plein air and photo reference oil painter who captures the distinct landscapes of the East End of Long Island and Florida. Her subjects include water views, marshes, barns and boathouses, rendered with a unique sense of color and composition that reveals the story behind each scene.
The exhibition will be on view at Romany Kramoris Gallery, located at 41 Main Street in Sag Harbor. More information is available at kramorisgallery.com.
