Artists Scott Bluedorn and Harris Allen are teaming up to inaugurate a new collaborative art space in Bridgehampton on August 11.
Called “Barn Project,” both artists’ work will be shown throughout the space, which is a working art studio and platform for collaboration across creative fields.
In his work using video, Harris Allen captures the nuances of the elements which make up the natural world. With his high speed video camera, he conveys the emotionally profound and infinitely varied movement and texture of water. Combined with industrial LED displays, he creates video sculptures which are love letters to the transcendent bodies of water throughout the East End. He lives and works in Sag Harbor
Scott Bluedorn is a Sag Harbor-based artist, illustrator and designer who works across media including drawing, painting, printmaking, installation, collage and assemblage. He creates surreal imagery inspired by maritime history, cultural anthropology, myth, supernatural themes and the natural world to distill a visual world he deems a “maritime cosmology.”
