The Arts Center at Duck Creek will present an off-site winter mini music series at the Sagaponack Farm Distillery. The series of three concerts will take place on Sunday afternoons from 3 to 5 p.m. in the distillery’s Tasting Room.

The first concert is Sunday, December 21, featuring the Peter Watrous Quartet, with Duck Creek music curator Peter Watrous on guitar, Chaz Martineau on saxophones, Charlie Lincoln on bass, and Willis Edmundson on drums. The quartet performs jazz with a free-spirited, improvisational approach, combining deep musical knowledge with spontaneous interaction among the musicians.

The second concert is Sunday, January 4, featuring the Emmanuel Michael Trio. Michael blends jazz, soul, and West African rhythms into a distinctive sound, drawing on his early experience singing in church and the musical traditions of his family. His performances range from delicate melodies to driving grooves.

The series concludes Sunday, January 25, with Argentinian tenor saxophonist, composer, and bandleader Julieta Eugenio, who is based in New York City. Eugenio moved from Buenos Aires to the United States in 2013 and earned her master’s degree at Queens College. She has performed with Johnny O’Neal, Leon Parker, and the touring production “SW!NG OUT” and has appeared at Dizzy’s Club, SummerStage, and the Joyce Theater. Her trio’s debut, “JUMP” (Greenleaf Music, 2022), won the DCJazzPrix International Band Competition. Eugenio was nominated for Best New Artist at the Jazz Music Awards and named one of GRAMMY Magazine’s “10 Jazz Emerging Artists to Watch.”

All proceeds from the series support the Arts Center at Duck Creek, which since 2018 has presented 59 exhibitions featuring 85 artists, 57 concerts with more than 230 musicians, and 59 community events in partnership with more than 26 local organizations, all free to the public.

Tickets are $20 per concert or $50 for a three-show bundle. All proceeds support Duck Creek’s free summer programming. Sagaponack Farm Distillery is at 369 Sagg Road in Sagaponack. For information, visit duckcreekarts.org.
