This exhibition culminates his residency, which began on March 25, 2024.

“Birds” will remain on view through Monday, June 2.

Bridgehampton

Stella Flame Gallery, 2385 Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton, will host an opening celebratory reception for “Everyone Wants Her,” featuring “Boys Wanna Get With Me, Girls Wanna Get With Me,” new works on canvas by Sandy Cohen, on Saturday, June 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. DJ Chili will bring music to the event, which will also feature limited edition prints and an artwear Pinar Hakim jewelry truck show, with a portion of the event’s sales supporting the American Heart Association.

“Something Lost, Something Gained” brings together four local artists whose work is deeply embedded in the surrounding nature of eastern Long Island. Integrating found objects with a diverse range of other mediums, these artists view the environment through an empathic poetic lens. They find beauty in decay and imperfection. The grouping of works, whose subjects include birds, nests, bark, fungi and flowers, will together form a narrative in which works speak to one another through overlapping metaphors and symbolism.
