“Something Lost, Something Gained” brings together four local artists whose work is deeply embedded in the surrounding nature of eastern Long Island. Integrating found objects with a diverse range of other mediums, these artists view the environment through an empathic poetic lens. They find beauty in decay and imperfection. The grouping of works, whose subjects include birds, nests, bark, fungi and flowers, will together form a narrative in which works speak to one another through overlapping metaphors and symbolism.
