Applications are currently available for the Southampton Youth Bureau’s 14th annual Battle of the Bands, which will be held Friday, June 10, from 8 to 11 p.m. at Ponquogue Beach in Hampton Bays.
To qualify for the competition, bands must have at least one member who is a high school student residing in the Town of Southampton, and must consist of a minimum of three musicians.
Applications and demo music must be received by Friday, May 13, at 4 p.m.
The Southampton Youth Bureau is also currently accepting submissions for its annual photography contest. This year, the theme is “Team Spirit.”
The contest is open to any middle or high school student who attends school or resides in Southampton Town. Artists can submit up to three photographs related to the annual theme. All entries must be submitted by May 13.
The top three winners will have their works displayed at the student art exhibition at the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill in February 2017.
