Bay Street Theatre will hold its first-ever Honors Benefit, featuring a live performance by Liza Minnelli, on Monday, April 30, in Manhattan.
The spring fundraiser will be held at the Manhattan Penthouse, at 80 Fifth Avenue, beginning at 6 p.m. and will pay tribute to Bay Street Board members Joy Behar, Adrianne Cohen and John Downing. Other special guests and performers will include actor Susie Essman from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and actor and Bay Street board member Richard Kind.
“Joy Behar, Adrianne Cohen and John Downing are the first to be honored in this way,” Executive Director Tracy Mitchell said in a release issued earlier this month. “Adrianne and John, both of whom have been with the theatre for over 20 years, work tirelessly on our behalf, along with Joy, who became a board member several years ago.”
Proceeds from the benefit will support the theatre’s year-round programming. To reserve tickets, which are $250 each, call Mary Ellen DiPrisco at 725-0818, ext. 112. For additional information about Bay Street Theatre, visit baystreet.org.
