In “Season For Joy,” Tony Award-nominee Melissa Errico, star of Broadway’s “White Christmas” takes the stage at Bay Street Theater to deliver an evening of holiday songs that will are joyful and diverse as well as touching and emotional. Joined by Brazilian opera star and Tony Award-winner Paulo Szot, and accompanied by acclaimed jazz pianist Tedd Firth, Errico sings and swings her way through holiday classics, Christmas favorites, and great American standards, including several songs with special lyrics by author and New Yorker contributor Adam Gopnik. Tickets are $25 and will be available for on-demand streaming through December 31.
“A Christmas Carol” tells the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge with Tony Award-winner Jefferson Mays playing over 50 roles in a virtuosic performance. The production comes from the vision of one of Broadway’s most imaginative directors, Tony Award-nominee Michael Arden. Finally, skillfully condensing and theatricalizing Herman Melville’s classic tale of the white whale, Bay Street’s Literature Live! presentation of “Moby Dick” boasts a cast featuring celebrated actor and East End resident Harris Yulin; Broadway and stage stars Dan Domingues, Wonza Johnson, Nehal Joshi, and Trent Saunders; and Bay Street’s director of education, Allen O’Reilly. The actors bring the book’s unforgettable characters t life, including Ishmael, Queequeg, Starbuck, and Captain Ahab. Tickets are $20 and will be available through April.
