The Suffolk is celebrating the music of legendary guitarist Jeff Beck on Sunday, April 21, at 7 p.m. with Beck-Ola, featuring Grammy nominated and Boston Music Hall of Fame guitarist Johnny A.

Beck-Ola comprises world-class musicians who perform a career retrospective of Jeff Beck. The legendary English guitarist is renowned for his innovative and influential contributions to rock music. With a career spanning over six decades, Beck has consistently pushed the boundaries of guitar playing, blending genres effortlessly from rock and blues to jazz and fusion. His virtuosic technique, unique tone, and adventurous spirit have solidified his status as one of the greatest guitarists of all time.

This stellar group of musicians is led by Grammy nominated and Boston Music Hall of Fame guitarist Johnny A. (Yardbirds, Peter Wolf, Bobby Whitlock). Johnny A., synonymous with guitar prowess, found his passion at 13 after witnessing the Beatles and Jimi Hendrix in Boston, later mastering the craft through icons like Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck. By the 1970s, he was forming bands and gaining recognition, ultimately becoming music director for Peter Wolf and even joining The Yardbirds in 2015. With a Grammy nomination, Boston Music Awards, and a spot in the Boston Music Hall of Fame, Johnny A. seamlessly navigates genres, continuing the legacy of his teenage heroes while touring globally and earning acclaim for his eclectic and sophisticated musical vision.

Beck-Ola also features vocalist Mike Gill (Livesay, Beyond Purple); drummer Marty Richards (J. Geils Band, Joe Perry Project, Duke Robillard); bassist Dean Cassell (Susan Tedeschi, John Cafferty, and the Beaver Brown Band); and keyboardist Steve Hunt (Alan Holdsworth, Stanley Clarke and Billy Cobham).

Tickets are $39 to $59 at thesuffolk.org. The Suffolk is a 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.
