Autumn brings scenes of cozy gatherings where books, movies and hot cider are the perfect combination for a relaxing visit. Bedside Reading, the hotel amenity that places complimentary books by the bed sides in the Hamptons, is back this weekend to coincide with the Hamptons International Film Festival to offer guests a wide selection of historical, fiction, poetry, self-help and finance books from the program’s participating authors.

“My first movie was developed from a book, so, when it comes to introducing great books to producers at film festivals, I’m all in,” said Jane Ubell-Meyer, founder of Bedside Reading who served as the co-executive producer of the film “Leona Helmsley: The Queen of Mean.” “While my producing days are behind me, it’s always great storytelling that speaks to my heart.”

Bedside Reading selections for the weekend include: “To Rescue a Witch” by Lisa A Traugott (historical fiction); “13 Poets From Long Island” by John A. Valenti and Evelyn Kandel (poetry); “Oldest Mom on the Playground” by Judy Haveson (women’s nonfiction); “And Now There’s Zelda” by Carolyn Clarke (fiction); “A Northern Light in Provence” by Elizabeth Birkelund (literary fiction); “From Wanting To Having It” by Jane Ubell-Meyer (self-help); “Conscious Wealth” by Brandon Hatton (finance); “The Yes Code” by Carol Look (self-help).

Books are complimentary on the South Fork at the following hotels and inns: Mill House Inn, The Maidstone, Journey East Hampton and Baker House 1650 in East Hampton; Southampton Inn,1708 House and Capri Southampton in Southampton; Marram and Beachcomber Resort at Montauk in Montauk.
