For its eighth anniversary, Bedside Reading is marking the occasion with the release of eight new books over Labor Day Weekend, giving hotel guests across the East End one last opportunity to enjoy the perfect beach read before summer fades.

“As summer winds down, we want travelers to take one last great story home with them,” said Jane Ubell-Meyer, founder of Bedside Reading. “There’s no better way to remember the season than with a book that lingers long after the beach bags are packed away.”

Guests staying at select hotels in East Hampton, Southampton, Montauk and the North Fork will receive complimentary Bedside Reading tote bags stocked with this season’s new titles. The curated collection ranges from page-turning mysteries to inspiring memoirs and thought-provoking nonfiction.

The featured titles include “The Lies They Told” by Ellen Marie Wiseman, “If These Walls Could Speak” by Jean Price, “The Soulful Abundance System” by Christine Williams, “The Quest for Happiness” by Paula Price, “Tomato Paste Leadership” by Domenic A. Chiarella, “Capitalizing on Chaos” by Rob Kalwarowsky, “The Constitution Kids” by Gary Gabel and “Whirlaway: The Rule of the Sea” by Robert Wintner.

Participating hotels include Baker House 1650, Journey East Hampton, Maidstone Hotel and Mill House Inn in East Hampton; 1708 House, Capri Hotel and Southampton Inn in Southampton; Beachcomber Resort & Spa and Marram Montauk in Montauk; and Hotel Moraine in the North Fork village of Greenport.

The program, which places complimentary books in luxury hotel rooms, has become a signature experience for visitors seeking relaxation and literary escape in the Hamptons. For more information, visit bedsidereading.com.
