Sag Harbor’s beloved bookstore, Harbor Books, is returning to the downtown business district but with a new name and location.

Berry & Co., named for owner Taylor Rose Berry, is coming soon to 51 Division Street, the same building that houses Jack’s Coffee, the Sag Harbor Baking Company and the UPS Store. The space Ms. Berry will occupy is on the second floor and was most recently home to Windswept Salon, which moved out over the winter.

“I’m really excited,” Ms. Berry said on Friday as she announced the news. “As everyone knows I’ve been looking for the perfect space for quite some time and I’ve looked into every option.”

Ms. Berry’s commercial real estate agent, Hal Zwick of Town & Country Real Estate, recommended the space and helped secure a workable lease. The space has cathedral ceilings, sky lights and an outdoor deck with water views. Ms. Berry, who put a lot of work into the former Harbor Books space at 20 Main Street, said the new location was like coming home again.

“It’s a good home for us. And I’m not calling it Harbor Books. We’re kind of the grown-up version of Harbor Books,” said Ms. Berry, who also plans to operate pop-ups at different locations on Main Street including White’s Pharmacy, which will take over her former location, Black Swan Antiques, the Julie Keys Gallery and The American Hotel, among others.

“I’ll still have a big Main Street presence that I’ll be able to use to direct people to Division Street,” she said.

Ms. Berry already has a pop-up in action at the new East Hampton location of The Spur, a co-working space in Southampton that just last week opened its second outpost on Three Mile Harbor in East Hampton. Berry & Co., when it opens in Sag Harbor, will have a wide selection of books along with a continued partnership with Dobra Tea, which Ms. Berry previously featured at Harbor Books.

“It’s the book store,” Ms. Berry said proudly. “I’m lucky that’s the industry I’m in and love and I think people will find the bookstore. Business provided, my plan is to be there for the foreseeable future. I wanted to find us a home that felt like a real home, and that’s what we were able to do.”

Ms. Berry has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help get the store open but promises there are perks for her supporters. A $50 donation, for example, will get you two books and “a beautiful bookmark,” according to Ms. Berry.
