Galerie Mallory of Shelter Island will host a two-week exhibition with a silent auction of birdhouses by local Shelter Island and East End artists, celebrities and conservationist, with the proceeds from the auction to benefit the Peconic Land Trust conservation efforts.

Birdhouses on exhibit have been designed by Jonathan Adler and Simon Doonan, Casey Chalem Anderson, Lois Bender, Scott Chaskey, James DeMartis, Marie Eiffel and Jason Penney, Edith Gawler, Bonnie Grice, John v.H. Halsey, Randy Kolhoff, Cynthia Wells, and James Wojcek, to name just a few, with a number of surprise birdhouse artists expected to be on display beginning with an opening reception on Sunday, July 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. The silent auction will close on Sunday, August 9 at 5:45 p.m.
“This project combines two of my favorite passions – working with artists and land conservation,” said Mallory Samson of Galerie Mallory of Shelter Island, located at 183 North Ferry Road. “I’m looking forward to seeing the wonderful artistry and talking with visitors about the work and the benefits of land conservation in our communities.”
