LTV Studio’s “Hamptons Songbook Series” in association with The Catskills Mountain Foundation presents the new musical revue “Headliners & One-liners: Songs and Stories of the Catskills Resorts” on Saturday, May 18, at 7:30 p.m. Starring Mark Singer, Darcy Dunn, Amanda Yachechak and James Parks, with musical director Julia Mendelsohn, “Headliners & One-liners” takes audiences back to the heyday of the Borscht Belt, when the best entertainers in the world performed at the legendary resorts of the Catskill Mountains.

Revisit the days when singers like Judy Garland, Sammy Davis Jr. and Dean Martin; and comedians like Jerry Lewis, Jackie Mason and Billy Crystal were regulars on the Catskills circuit. “Headliners” has the stories, the laughs and, most significantly, the glorious music of Richard Rogers, Burt Bacharach, Cole Porter, Kurt Weill, Harold Arlen and many others, that made the mid-20th century upstate era such an artistically extraordinary time and place. Performed by an accomplished quartet of Broadway and musical theater singers, and supported by pianist Julia Mendelsohn, it’s an evening of theatrical enchantment guaranteed to evoke fond memories, deep grins and toes tapping with uncontrollable delight.

Mark Singer is an actor, singer and writer who has been featured in operas, musicals, plays and on the cabaret stage. Darcy Dunn sings chamber opera, classical music and new works in New York City, and is a founding member and featured performer of the Magic Circle Opera. Amanda Yachechak is a stage and film actress, a lyric coloratura soprano, and a classical ballerina and Irish dancer. She is one of the principal vocalists on the concept album for the new Broadway musical “Kalevala.” James Parks’s New York credits include “Love, Actually,” “Cyberbabies” and “Grand Theft Musical.” Julia Mendelsohn is a pianist, arranger, and vocal coach based in New York City. She entertained at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in Manhattan for over 30 years, playing original arrangements of Broadway songs, jazz standards and classical music.

Tickets for the performance are $20 in advance ($25 at the door) at ltveh.org. LTV Studios is at 75 Industrial Road in Wainscott.
