The next film to join the Hamptons Doc Fest online is “To a More Perfect Union: U.S. v. Windsor,” a 2017 film by Donna Zaccaro which was the Sunday Night Spotlight at Hamptons Doc Fest in December 2018.

The film features octogenarian Edie Windsor’s winning fight, all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2013, to have the U.S. government recognize for estate tax purposes, her 40-year relationship with a female spouse. The film, with its theme of marriage equality, is presented in June in celebration of Gay Pride Month.

Still available via the website, most with Q&As from the directors’ appearances at the film festival in previous years, are, “Penny and Red: The Life of Secretariat’s Owner,” “Terrence McNally: Every Act of Life,” “Toni Morrison: The Pieces I Am,” “In Search of Israeli Cuisine,” “Maya Angelou: And Still I Rise,” “The Biggest Little Farm,” “Three Identical Strangers,” “The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution,” “Spielberg,” “Life, Animated,” “Very Semi-Serious” and “Free Solo.”
