Center Stage To Hold Auditions For 'God Of Carnage'

author on Jun 17, 2016

Center Stage at Southampton Cultural Center is holding open auditions for Yasmina Reza’s “God of Carnage” on Wednesday, July 6, and Thursday, July 7, in the center’s Levitas Center for the Arts.

Auditions begin promptly at 6 p.m. and any late arrivals will be seen at the discretion of the director, Michael Disher. There will be readings from the script.

“God of Carnage” will be performed at the center from October 13 through October 30. It has won Tony Awards for best play, leading actress and director.

The play is about two sets of parents who meet after one of their sons hurt the other at a public park. They intend to discuss the incident in a civilized manner, but as the evening unfolds, they grow increasingly childish until chaos ensues.

Center Stage is seeking actors for four available roles. These roles, all in their 40s, include: Alan Raleigh, a lawyer; Annette Raleigh, Alan’s wife; Michael Novak, a hardware salesman; and Veronica Novak, Michael’s wife.

Any actors with questions about auditions should email mbentondisher@gmail.com.
