Award-winning author, poet, and creative Adriana Devers will be the featured reader for The Church’s Children’s Spooky Story Hour on Friday, October 27, at 4:30 p.m.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, Devers will read her award-winning bilingual children’s book “Mi Chiquitica en Luna Llena, My Little One in Full Moon,” a beautifully illustrated book that presents a mother’s description of her child while referencing their Afro-Caribbean cultural identity and family values, and “¡Todos a bailar!,” which follows two little ones, singing, dancing, exploring their culture and celebrating their identity as they get ready for a big party.

Adriana Devers is founder of Cuentos de Triadas Inc., creating immersive cultural enriching experiences for the community using a multidisciplinary approach and a Patchogue Arts Council PEACE Project Teaching Artist and Cultural Partner. Her cultural programs present a variety of topics, addressing the needs of underrepresented youth.

Costumes are encouraged and festive light refreshments will be provided.

Tickets for this event are free, but reservations required at thechurchsagharbor.org. The Church is at 48 Madison Street, Sag Harbor.
