In celebration of all things sweet, Suffolk Theater is hosting a wine and chocolate tasting prior to a showing of the classic film “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” as the perfect Valentine’s Day weekend date night on Saturday, February 18. The tasting will begin at 7:30 p.m. and the film will begin at 8 p.m.

The tasting will feature a flight of three different wines from Macari Vineyards perfectly paired with six chocolates from North Fork Chocolate. Participants will be guided through the tasting by a Macari wine educator, drawing attention to flavor notes and information about the wine process. Once the tasting concludes, the film will begin.

“Breakfast at Tiffany’s” is a romantic 1961 comedy starring Audrey Hepburn as a young New York socialite who falls in love with a struggling writer who has recently moved into her apartment building. This film showing will also mark the launch of The Suffolk’s brand new film series.

“A film series has been in the works for a while now and we’re thrilled to be launching it with this event,” says the theater’s executive director, Gary Hygom. “Film was such a large part of this building’s history as a movie house in the 1930s, and it’s wonderful to pay homage to The Suffolk’s former life in this way.”

Tickets for “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” are $42 for both the tasting experience and the film, or $15 for the film only at suffolktheater.com. Suffolk Theater is at 118 East Main Street, Riverhead.
