Christie’s International Real Estate Sponsors Art Southampton

Art Southampton, a modern art fair that will feature over 60 well-known international galleries and have tens of millions of dollars’ worth of 20th and 21st century art in various forms on display.

The official sponsor of Art Southampton — running from July 7 to July 11 at Nova’s Ark Project — is Christie’s International Real Estate. There will be a booth set up at the main entrance that will display luxury residential property offerings all around the world.

“This event hosted by Nova’s Ark Project, captures the unique synergy between art and architecture,” says Kathy Coumou, Executive Director of Christie’s International Real Estate. “We are delighted to once again sponsor Art Southampton and showcase our top real estate listings from around the world, which themselves are works of art. Our effort also supports philanthropic initiatives, making this sponsorship all the more meaningful.”

There will be a VIP Preview Party that will benefit the Parrish Art Museum as well as the Southampton Hospital on Thursday evening. The New York Academy of Art exhibition, “Call of the Wild will be co-curated by Brooke Shields, and the Academy President, David Kratz, with a theme centered on wildlife and the animal kingdom.

“We are very pleased to support Art Southampton once again. As the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate and with close ties to Christie’s auction house, we are especially excited to be a part of the premier art fair of the Hamptons,” Cia Comnas, the Executive Managing Director of Brown Harris Stevens of the Hamptons said.

The host of the popular TV show, “Shark Tank,” Kevin O’Leary will be present during the opening night to present his photography exhibition, “Irreconcilable Images,” which will be presented by Gallery Valentine. All of the proceeds from these photographs will benefit the Perry J. Cohen Foundation and aspiring teenage entrepreneurs.

The Christie’s network has 135 global affiliates and 32,000 real estate professionals spread throughout 45 countries. Their firm is invitation-only. Last season, Art Southampton brought together more than 21,000 art enthusiasts, collectors and curators.
