The Suffolk will present “Classic Albums Live Performs Queen’s News of the World” on Thursday, September 18, at 8 p.m. Classic Albums Live (CAL) is known nationwide as taking the greatest classic rock albums of all time and recreating them live on stage.
In 2023, CAL celebrated its 20th anniversary and has expanded its repertoire to include over 45 different records and delivers more than 200 performances annually across North America. Each CAL show offers two distinct experiences: a faithful rendition of the chosen record in the first half, followed by a dynamic set featuring the artist’s greatest hits.
Queen’s “News of the World,” released in 1977, is one of the band’s most iconic and commercially successful albums. Best known for featuring the anthemic hits “We Will Rock You” and “We Are the Champions,” the record became a staple of both rock radio and live sports events worldwide. With its powerful mix of arena-ready anthems and hard rock grit, “News of the World” cemented Queen’s status as one of the greatest rock bands of the era.
Classic Albums Live will perform Queen’s “News of the World” on Thursday, September 18, at The Suffolk, 118 East Main Street, Riverhead, at 8 p.m. Tickets begin at $49. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit thesuffolk.org.
