Violinist Eric Silberger, a top prizewinner of the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition, will return to the East End to kick off the 2020 season of Shelter Island Friends of Music (SIFM).

The concert will be held at the Shelter Island Presbyterian Church, 32 North Ferry Road, on Sunday, February 16, at 3 p.m. Silberger, who plays on a rare J.B. Guadagnini violin from 1757 on generous loan from the Si-Yo Music Society Foundation Sau-Wing Lam collection, will be accompanied by Bradley Moore (pianist and assistant conductor for the Metropolitan Opera). Together, they will perform music by Mozart, R. Strauss, Tchaikovsky, Gershwin, and Hubay.

The Shelter Island Friends of Music (SIFM) is a nonprofit organization that sponsors five concerts annually, free of charge, for East End lovers of concert music. Visit shelterislandfriendsofmusic.org for details.
