Classical Pianist Anne Tedesco Performs at Montauk

Classical pianist Anne Tedesco returns to the Montauk Library on Sunday, September 24, at 2:30 p.m. to perform a diverse program including Bach’s “Sarabande,” Mozart’s “Sonata no. 8 in A Minor,” Brahms “Intermezzo in A major” and his “Capriccio in F# minor,” Liszt’s “Concert Etude in F minor,” Chopin’s “Andante Spinato” and his “Grand Polonaise Brillante” and “Ginastera’s Sonata for Piano.”

Anne Tedesco, a native of Long Island, made her professional debut at Carnegie Recital Hall (Weill Hall). She combines both a teaching and performing career. She is an adjunct professor of music at St. John’s University, where she has been teaching music, history, theory, classical piano, and fine arts since 1982.

In addition, she maintains a busy schedule of musical activities which include solo recitals, adjudications and lectures in the New York Metropolitan area, and private piano teaching at her home studio in Malverne. Her leadership as a musician and music educator have received several distinctions including the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award for excellence in music and career longevity. The Tedesco family owns a second home in Montauk.
