The Depot Gallery in Montauk will present “Dear Liar,” a play by Jerome Kilty, as a dramatic reading performed by Rick Forstmann and Margo Goodman on Saturday, July 8, at 7:30 p.m. The reading is free, and will be immediately followed by the art exhibit opening reception for Zoe Denahy and Kim Newman.

For 40 years of their very public lives there existed a private and infinitely intriguing relationship between the famous English actress, Mrs. Patrick Campbell and George Bernard Shaw. “Dear Liar” is the story of that enchanting encounter told in their own words in the hundreds of letters which they both saved, fought over, returned to each other and very nearly lost in World War II.

Rick Forstmann spent most of his professional life as an award-winning director and cameraman. A professional actor for many years, he has appeared in dozens of productions, including “The Cherry Orchard,” “An Ideal Husband” and “The Importance of Being Ernest.” He has been a resident of Montauk since 1970.

Margo Goodman has numerous Off and Off-Off Broadway credits to her name including “Three Sisters,” “Angustias,” and “The House of Bernarda Albas” and more.

Reservations for the reading are requested but walk-ins are welcome. Call 631- 668-8052 or email montaukartistsassociation@outlook.com to reserve. The Depot Gallery is located at the Montauk train station at Flamingo Avenue and South Edgemere Street.
