For two nights this weekend, an open field in Bridgehampton will be transformed into a drive-in movie theater, with guests of all ages coming together to enjoy a new family film and support the local community.

On June 12 and 13, the site of the Hampton Classic on Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton will be transformed into a drive-in featuring a special screening of Disney’s new family film, “Artemis Fowl,” with 100 percent of the proceeds from the event going to East End food pantries. The beneficiaries include All For The East End, the Bridgehampton Food Pantry, The Children’s Museum of the East End’s Food Pantry, East Hampton Food Pantry, The Montauk Food Pantry, Springs Food Pantry and The JBJ Soul Foundation Food Bank.

The East End food pantries have been hit extremely hard in the recent months and are in need of significant financial support. A group of organizations, corporations and individuals — including Bob Balaban, Jane Rosenthal, Eddie Burke Jr., Altice USA CEO Dexter Goei, Cinema Society’s Andrew Saffir, and BLADE’s Rob Wiesenthal have come together to launch this special two-night drive-in family movie night to support the food pantries in their time of need.

“With so many of us being unable to gather for the past few months, we heeded the opportunity to bring the community together for a shared, yet safe, experience,” said Patrick Albano, chief marketing officer at BLADE. "Demand at the East End food pantries has increased exponentially, so all of the organizers and sponsors of this event are proud to provide critical funding for organizations that help feed the most challenged in our community."

Ticket packages for the drive-in start at $125 and are available at Flyblade.com/movie. Pre-purchased snack boxes are also available. Gates open both nights at 7 p.m. Please arrive early, cars will not be admitted after 8 p.m. The Hampton Classic Horse Show Grounds are at 240 Snake Hollow Road in Bridgehampton. For those who can’t attend but would still like to support the food pantries, donations can be made via the site. If you purchase a donation package but can’t attend the film, organizers will help gift your admission to first responders and their families.
