Two East End artists are among the toy photographers whose pictures are on display at Hasbro’s booth at Comic-Con International in San Diego over the weekend of July 23.

After a call for entries this spring, the toy company chose 24 photos of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” action figures, including one each by Water Mill’s Oliver Peterson and Shelter Island’s Matt Rohde. All of the winning entries play with perspective and scale. In the photos, six-inch figures of Stormtroopers, heroine Rey, villain Kylo Ren and other characters appear as if they are full-size people in scenes that could be straight out of the movie. In the case of Mr. Rohde's photo, he created a scene of a First Order TIE Fighter chasing Han Solo's Millennium Falcon.

More photographs by the artists can be found on Instagram. Mr. Peterson is @oliversees and Mr. Rohde is @x_captain_kaos_x.
