East End Underground Goes Epic With ‘The Music of Joe Delia’

authorStaff Writer on Jul 21, 2025

LTV Studios and the East End Underground Live Concert Series will present “The Music of Joe Delia” on Friday, July 25, at 7:30 p.m. Delia, an award-winning film composer and celebrated blues pianist, will share stories through film and music in a performance designed to stir the senses.

The show will feature Delia playing his iconic film scores on piano, accompanied by clips from cult classics including “King of New York,” “Ms. 45,” “Tommaso,” “The Tao of Steve,” “Siberia” and “Padre Pio,” as well as music from docuseries for “Nova” and the History Channel.

Delia will demonstrate how music shapes film and storytelling, offer behind-the-scenes insights from decades in the industry, and reveal why his score for “Ms. 45” caught the attention of David Bowie.

A veteran of the industry, Delia holds two gold records and one platinum. He has scored more than 40 feature films and is known internationally for both his live performances and his film work. Early in his career, Delia was signed to RCA Records while still in his teens under the management of Beatles promoter Sid Bernstein. He went on to work with artists such as Stevie Wonder, Chuck Berry, Dusty Springfield, Pat Benatar, Phoebe Snow and The Isley Brothers.

He has also performed with Bruce Springsteen, Keith Richards, Delbert McClinton and Chad Smith, and collaborated with Kim Larsen, David Johansen, Richard Belzer and Max Weinberg. His film credits include “Bad Lieutenant,” “No Looking Back,” “Zeroes & Ones” and more, with performances and scores featuring talents like Willem Dafoe, Ethan Hawke, Harvey Keitel and Madonna.

Locally, Delia is a well-known singer-songwriter and a fixture on the East End music scene. His original work includes the regional favorite “Under the Montauk Moon.”

Launched by Executive Director Michael Clark, East End Underground is LTV’s broadcast series spotlighting Long Island’s rich musical undercurrent. The new live concert series, taped in front of a studio audience in LTV’s Studio 3, brings this vision to life by featuring emerging and established artists across a wide range of genres.

Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. VIP reserved café table seating is $55 and includes a drink ticket. The concert will take place at LTV Studios, 75 Industrial Road, Wainscott. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit ltveh.org.
