LTV Studios and the East End Underground Live Concert Series will present “Inda Eaton in Concert: Free To Roam” on Friday, July 12, at 7:30 p.m. Inda Eaton will take guests on a hilarious and heartfelt adventure, and they can prepare to be swept away by a captivating performance that combines laughter, music, rich characters and self-discovery.
Through soul-stirring melodies and candid anecdotes, Eaton bridges the gap between hearts. Her songs resonate like shared secrets around a campfire, inviting listeners to lean in and connect. Eaton’s voice, both powerful and tender, explores the highs and lows of love — the ache of longing, the thrill of connection, and the bittersweet echoes of memories. “Free To Roam” is a unique blend of Eaton’s original music and side-splitting observational comedy. Eaton delves into the complexities of life, navigating the challenges and triumphs of resilience — all with a groovy backbeat. The show explores the beauty of nostalgia, the power of vulnerability and the strength it takes to find freedom within ourselves.
“We can argue politics and policies, but, at the end of the day, we are bound together beyond these. I do what I do to connect — music has this great disarming quality — it leads to vulnerability quickly as people lay down their shields,” said Eaton.
In a career that spans 8 albums in 20 years, and a blur of endless tours, for her latest album, “Shelter in Place,” Eaton opted for once to stay put. The 11-song record was literally tracked in the Springs-based artist’s backyard. In the stillness of the album writing process, she sifted through her scrapbook of travels, and created a Huck Finn-spirited collection of story-rich heartland rock songs brimming with adventure and personal reflection. Eaton has toured in various configurations throughout America, both as a captivating solo performer and a powerful bandleader with a trusted posse of ace musicians. Select live highlights include opening for noted names like John Hiatt, Blues Traveler, Earl Scruggs, Hootie and the Blowfish, LeAnn Rimes, Shemekia Copeland and Molly Hatchet. Additional performance highlights include tours for American Society of Young Musicians and VH1’s Save the Music Program. Inda has been a fixture on the CMJ alternative charts, earned an AFIM “Best Independent Album” nomination and garnered critical industry acclaim in publications such as Billboard and Relix.
