The Hamptons International Film Festival announced last week that Aaron Eckhart, Holly Hunter and Edward Norton will participate in “A Conversation With…” a signature program at the festival. HIFF also announced their jury members for the 24th annual festival, taking place over Columbus Day weekend, October 6 to 10.

“Our ‘A Conversation With…’ series has been a focal point of the Hamptons International Film Festival since its inception. These riveting conversations allow audiences a deeper look into the cinematic discussion of acting and filmmaking,” HIFF Executive Director Anne Chaisson said. “We are honored to have the talented Aaron Eckhart, Holly Hunter and Edward Norton at the festival this year to bring in-depth and intriguing discussions to our audience in the Hamptons.”

Mr. Eckhart will take part in “A Conversation With...” on Friday, October 7th at 1 p.m. at the Guild Hall. He stars as boxing trainer Kevin Rooney in “Bleed For This,” one of HIFF’s Spotlight Films.

Ms. Hunter, an Academy Award-winning actress and producer, will take part in “A Conversation With...” on Saturday, October 8 at 1 p.m. at East Hampton Middle School. She stars in Katherine Dieckmann’s “Strange Weather,” which is the Southampton Opening Night Film. Mr. Norton, will also participate in “A Conversation With…” on Sunday, October 9 at 1 p.m. at East Hampton Middle School. Mr. Norton will be honored at the festival with a Career Achievement Award on Sunday, October 9.

HIFF has also announced the 2016 festival jury members. The Narrative Jury will be David Edelstein, chief film critic for New York Magazine, NPR’s Fresh Air and commentator for CBS Sunday Morning, Mariska Hargitay, Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning actress known for her role as Olivia on Law & Order SVU and writer and director John Krokidas, who recently made his feature directorial debut with “Kill Your Darlings,”

The Documentary Jury will be Alexis Alexanian, the President of Production at Locomotive, a film, television and financing company that recently financed and executive produced Rebecca Miller’s “Maggie’s Plan,” Jason Janego, former co-founder and co-president of RADiUS who distributed “20 Feet From Stardom” and Citizenfour; and Julie Goldstein, President of Production at Endgame Entertainment.

HIFF will continue their relationship with the New York Film Critics Circle with members serving as mentors, panelists and jurors at various events during the festival.

“The New York Film Critics Circle are delighted to continue our relationship with the Hamptons International Film Festival,” New York Film Critics Circle Chairman, Mr. Edelstein said. “Given the great movies and filmmakers and actors and madly attractive audiences eager to see films early and begin conversations that will continue, in one form or another, all year, it’s much harder to get us to leave the Hamptons than go out there.”
