The Church in Sag Harbor is offering guided tours of its spring exhibition “Empire of Water,” which explores water as a natural element, a scientific subject, an issue of social justice, a historical factor, an ecological question, an aesthetic tradition, a metaphor and a simple necessity for the existence of life on Earth.
Featuring 47 artworks by 44 artists in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, sculpture and digital work, this exhibition brings together established and emerging artists in the area with artists from across the globe.
The Church will offer “Empire of Water” tours led by Sara Cochran on Sunday, April 17, at 10:30 a.m., Eric Fischl on Sunday, April 24, at 10:30 a.m. at $15 each and an “After Hours at The Church” event on Sunday, May 8, at 5 p.m. with a conversation about the exhibition led by Fischl and Cochran and a wine and cheese reception. The cost is $45.
